Former Clipper coach Don Casey, who led the Nets after John Calipari was fired and then waited in limbo while the team wooed Phil Jackson, was officially made New Jersey’s head coach.
Casey, who has worked as an assistant coach in Chicago and Boston, posted a 13-17 record with the injury-plagued Nets after he was appointed interim coach on March 15.
