Belanger’s 7 Points Tie Bullfrog Record

Hugo Belanger tied a franchise record with seven points and the Bullfrogs defeated the Chicago Bluesmen, 13-2, in a Roller Hockey International game Friday in Geneva, Ill.
Belanger, the leading scorer in RHI with 31 points, had three goals and four assists to extend his scoring streak to eight games. Teammate Tom Menicci had three goals and two assists.
The Bullfrogs (5-1-2) took a season-high 48 shots, compared to 31 for Chicago. The Bullfrogs, who remain in second place in the Western Conference, led, 5-0, after the opening period and, 7-0, after the second.
Goalkeeper Robby Laurie’s bid for a shutout ended with 2:57 remaining in the third period, when Matt Unger scored his first goal of the season.
