Long Beach police have arrested a man suspected of shooting three men to death earlier this month, but his alleged accomplice remains at large, authorities said Saturday.
Acting on a tip from the FBI, police tracked Timothy Deon Polk, 26, to an apartment complex in the 4000 block of South Central Avenue late Friday night, according to a Long Beach police press statement.
Polk jumped from a second-floor balcony and was immediately arrested, police said. His younger brother, Anthony Earl Day, 24, is also a suspect in the June 10 killings in the 1800 block of Cedar Avenue in Long Beach, which police said were motivated by a dispute over a woman.
Day is a 5-foot-8 black man weighing about 160 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and tattoos on both arms, and is armed and dangerous, police said. Anyone with information about him is urged to call Long Beach police at (562) 570-7244.
