Community Associations Score Well

Three out of four community association homeowners are very or extremely satisfied with their community, according to a nationwide poll released last week by the Community Assns. Institute Research Foundation.
And nearly 40% of respondents plan to purchase their next homes in a community association.
The poll was conducted by the Gallup Organization over a three-month period. The prime drivers of satisfaction with community association homeownership include overall community appearance, safety, financial accountability, location and friendly neighbors.
The No. 1 reason why homeowners plan to purchase their next homes in a community association is upkeep of property (18%), followed by safety and security (11%).
Among those respondents who would not live in an association again, 8% found the rules too restrictive.
