The Laguna Canyon Foundation will hold a “wire-cutting” ceremony Tuesday to celebrate the addition of 2,070 acres to the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. The new land comes from the Irvine Co. as a condition of developing its coastal property. The park will total 5,215 acres and will include Buck Gully, upper Emerald Canyon, Los Trancos Canyon and the ridges above downtown Laguna. The event begins at 1 p.m. at park headquarters, 20101 Laguna Canyon Road. Information: (949) 494-9352.
