Police are seeking a gunman who shot and killed a 34-year-old man in front of a Santa Ana home late Saturday.
Armando Gonzalez Montes was drinking with friends about 9:30 p.m. in the driveway of a home in the 1000 block of West Highland Street when several men believed to be gang members walked up, police said.
The men asked for a certain person, whose name police withheld. One man then fired several shots at the group of men in the driveway, striking Montes, Santa Ana Police Sgt. Randy Eldridge said.
Friends drove Montes to Santa Ana Hospital Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead.
