UC Irvine has declared Thursday “UCI No Tobacco Day” to support the World Health Organization’s World No Tobacco Day. UCI Peer Health Educators, a student group sponsored by UCI Health Education, will present a tobacco education and prevention event at the Student Center Terrace from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Also, participants will wear gold ribbons to remember loved ones who died of tobacco-related illnesses and to express support for people whose health is compromised by tobacco use.
