The City Council has approved plans for the second phase of a four-year campaign to improve lighting downtown. As part of the $680,000 project, the city has already installed 17 of the 67 light poles to be erected. A conference for those seeking to bid on the next phase of the project is set for 10 a.m. June 14 in council chambers, 32400 Paseo Adelanto. Information: (949) 493-1171.
