Dental Firm Gets Approval to Sell Radiography System

Dental/Medical Diagnostic Systems in Westlake Village, which manufactures dental equipment and tooth-whitening materials, has received approval from the Food and Drug Administration to sell its digital radiography system in the United States.
Shipment of the product is expected to begin next quarter.
The company says its radiography product offers better images than the digital X-ray systems currently available. Digital radiography systems permit real-time dental X-ray images that can be stored and recalled, as well as be electronically delivered to insurance providers.
The process eliminates the need for film and reduces radiation by up to 90%, company officials said.
