GOVERNMENT CONTRACT AWARDS

Penhall Co. in Anaheim was awarded a $72,695 contract from Ventura County to oversee abandonment of the Nyeland Acres Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project, at 3550 Ventura Road near the Ventura Freeway at the Del Norte Boulevard exit, involves demolition, removal and disposal of the existing plant.
The project is scheduled to begin Oct. 19 and be concluded by Dec. 27.
