The Tustin Unified School District was awarded two reading instruction grants worth nearly $137,000 from the California Department of Education.
The district received a K-3 New Teacher Reading Instruction Development grant for $29,000 to help train teachers in reading strategies and a Reading Standards and Intervention grant for $107,800, which will provide professional development in reading instruction for teachers of grades four through 12.
