SEASON AT A GLANCE: The 6-foot-1, 195-pound tailback has rushed for 565 yards and scored nine touchdowns for the Golden Knights (5-0). He’s continuing a Milton tradition of running the ball at St. Francis. Oldest brothers Trae and Crayton played for the Golden Knights and are now at UC Davis and Cal State Northridge, respectively.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Milton rushed for a career-best 268 yards in 20 carries and scored four touchdowns in St. Francis’ 55-14 victory over Serra. “Serra has a lot of speed, but he was able to break loose and not only run over people but away from people,” Coach Bill Redell said. “I’ve been waiting for him to break loose.”

Sara Jones
SCHOOL: Hart
YEAR: Sophomore
SPORT: Golf
SEASON AT A GLANCE: Jones, who tied for ninth in the CIF-Women’s Southern California Golf Assn. championships at the SCGA Members’ Club in Murrieta in June, has been the medalist or co-medalist in seven of 10 matches and is averaging 1.2 strokes above par for nine holes.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Jones shot a three-under-par 30 at Vista Valencia Golf Course to lead Hart (15-0) to victory in the first Foothill League match of the season on Tuesday and shot an even-par 31 in a 111-137 nonleague victory over Burroughs at El Cariso Golf Course in Burbank on Thursday. She is a combined two-over par in six matches at Vista Valencia this season.
