Dow Jones & Co. said its third-quarter profit from operations rose 28% to $45.5 million, or 50 cents a share, 2 cents better than estimates, on higher advertising revenue at the Wall Street Journal. The higher ad sales helped fuel an 18% revenue increase at the company’s print publishing operations, which include Barron’s magazine. Total revenue rose 5.9% to $469.8 million.
