Your Oct. 4 story reporting on the dangerously large numbers of medically uninsured neglected to note that over $7 billion was spent by Americans for NFL, NBA and major league baseball paraphernalia last year. There is also no mention of the hundreds of billions spent on cosmetics, tobacco, alcohol, auto insurance, movies, computer games, pizza, etc. Perhaps you could write a few words on our value system.
