A joint venture that includes Fluor Daniel has been given a preliminary nod to supply program management services for a $2.14 billion railway construction and engineering project to improve one of the United Kingdom’s most heavily traveled rail lines, Aliso Viejo-based Fluor announced Wednesday.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The venture, which also includes Mott McDonald, would provide “front-end” services for the seven-year project. Fluor and Mott are negotiating a definitive contract with Railtrack PLC, which is overseeing the project.
Railtrack also gave management projects to Parsons Brickerhoff Inc. and Bechtel Group Inc.
Fluor Daniel is a unit of Fluor Corp., an engineering, construction, maintenance and services company.
