Damaged slopes at two schools in Laguna Niguel were among those repaired after a six-month effort.
Repairs were needed at Crown Valley Elementary School and Niguel Hills Middle School in Laguna Niguel, which are part of Capistrano Unified School District. Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo was also part of the project.
The $220,000 project corrected damage from heavy rains during El Nino, said Joe Dixon, director of the district’s maintenance and operations division. Dixon said the district will be reimbursed by the federal government for the repairs.
