** Meredith Brooks, “Deconstruction,” Capitol. After emerging from the eye of the “Bitch” hurricane, the singer-songwriter did a little personal--and musical--soul-searching. Is she a Sheryl Crow-esque pop-rocker (“Shout”)? A Luscious Jackson-style alterna-hip-hopper (“All for Nothing”)? A guitar-wielding Tori Amos (“Bored With Myself”)? A female Dave Matthews (“Cosmic Woo Woo”)? Despite the modern-pop smorgasbord and Brooks’ unpretentious flexibility, “Deconstruction” (due Tuesday) yields few revelations.
