In Brief

** Meredith Brooks, “Deconstruction,” Capitol. After emerging from the eye of the “Bitch” hurricane, the singer-songwriter did a little personal--and musical--soul-searching. A female Dave Matthews (“Cosmic Woo Woo”)? Despite the modern-pop smorgasbord and Brooks’ unpretentious flexibility, “Deconstruction” (due Tuesday) yields few revelations.
