2 Killed as Vehicle Veers Off Freeway

Two people were killed Saturday night when the car they were traveling in careened off the Ronald Reagan Freeway and landed in bushes, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The identities of the driver and passenger killed in the crash were not released, pending notification of their families.
The accident occurred about 9:10 p.m., when the driver of a Ford Probe lost control of the car near 1st Street, according to the CHP. It was unknown how many feet the car fell.
The Ventura County Fire Department reported that one victim had been ejected from the car.
