SIMI VALLEY — A brush fire broke out Saturday night along the Ronald Reagan Freeway and charred about four acres before being doused, fire officials said.
The fire started about 7 p.m. on the south side of the freeway, between Kuehner Drive and Yosemite Avenue, and 10 mph winds fanned flames near several homes on Rockdale Avenue, according to Simi Valley police.
There were no reports of damage or injuries and the cause was under investigation, according to Ventura County Fire Department officials.
Arson investigators were questioning two boys Saturday night who were seen in the area of the fire when it started.
