Las Vegas will again throw a New Year’s Eve street party downtown, but this year it will cost you about 10 times as much. The “Fremont Street Experience New Year’s Eve Bash 2000,” held along five blocks, will begin at 5 p.m. Dec. 31 (gates open at 3 p.m.) and offer music by Starship, Guess Who, REO Speedwagon and Creedence Clearwater Revisited; dancing; a sound-and-light show with 2 million lights; and lots of confetti. If you visit Fremont Street hotels in advance, you can get tickets for $90 (3,000 available); otherwise, order for $100 from Ticketmaster, (702) 474-4000 (10,000 available) or buy for $100 at the door.
