Newhall Man Dies After Car Hits Tree

A 61-year-old Newhall man died after his pickup truck crashed Wednesday night in Valencia, authorities said.
Witnesses said Howard Hill was driving his Ford Ranger south on Del Monte Drive when the truck began to drift, hitting a curb and then a tree, according to sheriff’s deputies. Hill may have had a heart attack, the deputies said.
Paramedics took Hill to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
