Condit to Break Silence on Intern by Labor Day

Rep. Gary Condit plans to break his public silence about missing government intern Chandra Levy before Labor Day, a top aide said Friday.
Consultant Richie Ross said the Modesto Democrat will begin his fight for political rehabilitation with a letter to his constituents coupled with a national media interview.

Condit recognizes that his constituents are angry, disappointed and frustrated, particularly with his refusal to issue more than brief statements, Ross said.
