Westminster Wins Big League Series

Westminster defeated Venezuela, 5-4, to win the Big League World Series baseball title for 17- and 18-year-olds last week in Easley, S.C.
Freddy Rodriguez and Jason Zeller each had two hits in the championship game for Westminster, which won five consecutive games after losing its series opener.
Right-hander Jake Baxter pitched six-plus innings, striking out three and walking one.
