A 23-year-old man wounded in a drive-by shooting Wednesday night near Saticoy Street and Oso Avenue died Thursday, police said.
Oscar Gomez Serrano, of Winnetka, died at 12:10 a.m. at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. A 16-year-old boy accompanying him was shot in the leg and is listed in stable condition.
As the pair and three others walked along Saticoy at 8:50 p.m., a vehicle pulled up alongside, asking what gang they belonged to. When they said they did not belong to a gang, an occupant of the car began shooting, police said.
The vehicle fled west on Saticoy. No suspects have been identified, police said.
