Microsemi’s Acquisitions Boost Revenue Outlook

Microsemi Corp., benefiting from recent acquisitions, edged up its revenue projections for the current quarter.

The Irvine company said it expects revenues for the three months to range between $57 million and $62 million, compared with previous estimates of a $57-million to $61-million range. Microsemi acquired two Massachusetts companies, Compensated Devices Inc. and New England Semiconductor Corp.

The company’s stock, which had fallen $3.28 a share to $53.65, moved as high as $55.89 in after-hours trading on Nasdaq.

Microsemi also completed a 2-for-1 stock split.
