A second downtown residential hotel has been ordered evacuated while the owners deal with a bat infestation.
City code enforcers Tuesday gave residents of Sutter Manor 72 hours to get out, saying 100 to 400 bats live in the building.
Thirty-two residents are being displaced, but officials said those people are expected to be able to return to the building in two weeks.
Officials posted evacuation notices in the Hotel Terry on Aug. 17 after about 40,000 bats were found in the building’s attic. More than 60 people had to be relocated.
