Santa Ana Valley 46, El Modena 33--Leading by one going into the fourth quarter, Monique Cruz and Carina Martinez scored six points apiece for Santa Ana Valley (13-5, 2-0). Cruz finished with 14, Martinez with 12.
Villa Park 57, Canyon 36--Kelly Shimizu had 19 points and eight steals, and Villa Park (10-8, 3-0) outscored Canyon, 21-3, in the third.
