School Applications Available Thursday

Applications to attend Walnut Canyon School during the 2001-02 academic year will be available starting Thursday.
The magnet school, which specializes in performing arts, technology and science, is open to all elementary students in Moorpark.
Walnut Canyon has a waiting list for the current school year and expects one for next year as well.
A lottery system will be used for admission, with special consideration given to those who have siblings at the school or live close to the campus.
A parent information meeting is scheduled Feb. 8 at 7 p.m., and tours of the campus will be held Thursday and again Feb. 7, 15 and 22 at 9 a.m.
Completed applications are due Feb. 16.
