Suspect Sought in Theft, Assault Case

Police are searching for a man who assaulted a 68-year-old woman in her home before stealing jewelry and stereo equipment.
The victim returned home from walking her dog about 9:12 p.m. Sunday and found the robber in her home in the 7900 block of Seawall Circle.
Police said the man apparently grabbed or hit the woman’s neck. She complained of pain but was uninjured, police said.
The robber is described as white, about 22 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches, 180 pounds, with brown hair in a crew cut, a thin goatee and mustache, a blue shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Huntington Beach police at (714) 960-8809.
