Agency Issues Call for Blood Donations

Citing an ongoing shortage and the upcoming Fourth of July holiday, officials at United Blood Services are seeking donations.
“We need blood donors of all types,” said Patty Hunt, a spokeswoman for the nonprofit agency. Hunt said the agency won’t be able to hold drives on the holiday and many regular donors will likely be out of town during the holiday week.
