Oxnard College officials will interview a dozen candidates early this month for the vacant president’s position, a spokesman said.
Fifty-nine educators applied for the job, which was left empty in December when Steven Arvizu, 57, resigned because of health complications from a 1998 car accident.
The college’s presidential search committee will interview the 12 applicants on July 9 and 10 and select five finalists, who will then be interviewed by the governing board and the chancellor.
