Man, 63, Dies After Being Struck by Car

A 63-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car and killed while trying to cross a street in Buena Park late Tuesday, police said.
Alejandro Octavio Gastelum was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he died, police said. Gastelum was crossing Knott Avenue near LaPalma Avenue about 11:30 p.m. when he was struck by a southbound car.
Police said Gastelum was not in a crosswalk and the driver was not cited. An investigation is continuing.
