Winds Drive Oil Slick Toward French Waters

From Times Wire Reports
High winds are driving a massive oil slick from the sunken tanker Prestige toward French waters, meaning France and Spain may soon have to fight together against the ecological disaster, Spanish officials said.
Spanish media have estimated the cluster of oil slicks as covering an area the size of New York City. Fuel oil continued to wash ashore in Spain while cleanup vessels suctioned oil off the ocean surface.
The tanker’s split hull continues to leak, even though a mini-sub has plugged some of the cracks.
