A man fired from the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant pleaded not guilty Friday to charges of making threats against workers there.
David Lee Reza, 44, is accused of making criminal threats and possession of assault weapons. Orange County Superior Court Judge Carlton Biggs set bail at $100,000. A pretrial hearing was set for Feb. 14. Reza faces up to six years in prison if convicted.
Reza, who friends say is a gun collector, was arrested Jan. 8 after he told a union representative that he would “take my guns, go to San Onofre and whack a bunch of people,” police said.
