WASHINGTON — The White House will again open for tours next month, but only for school groups.
White House spokesman Ari Fleischer announced the decision Friday.
He said President Bush decided to allow the limited tours as a means of accommodating large throngs of tourists that normally flock to the nation’s capital in the spring.
Tours will be available to school groups that request them through members of Congress, Fleischer said.
The tours were suspended after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
