Safety Improvements for Santa Rosa Road OKd
- Share via
Ventura County supervisors this week approved a series of projects aimed at improving safety along Santa Rosa Road near Camarillo.
A new traffic signal at Yucca Drive is intended to slow traffic along the rural two-lane road, which is heavily used by motorists as an east-west alternative to the Ventura Freeway.
Other improvements include cutting deep grooves along the road’s center and shoulders to warn drivers when they are drifting from their lane.
Additional signs warning motorists about speed, no-passing zones and the presence of school bus stops are also in the works.
