Business Trip Is No-Frills

If the Lakers clinch the championship in New Jersey, they will be celebrating in, well, a swamp.
That’s not only the Meadowlands’ surroundings, it’s the visiting locker room at Continental Airlines Arena.
“It’s right up there among the worst,” Laker Samaki Walker said of the room.
There are no lockers, only cement walls with hooks for the players’ clothes. Each player’s space is designated by his number on a piece of masking tape. And the floor is cold, chipped concrete dotted with puddles of water.
The locker room in Sacramento was smaller, but at least there was drainage.
