Woman’s Body Found Wrapped in Carpet

A telephone tip led Los Angeles police to an apartment where they found a woman’s body wrapped in a carpet Tuesday night.
Coroner’s officials said the body was too decomposed to identify or indicate how she died.
An autopsy will be conducted today, authorities said. Tests will also be performed to help determine the time of death, they said.
Police gave no other information, and coroner’s officials said it was too early to declare the death a homicide.
