Santa Ana Man Charged in Drag Race Death

A Santa Ana man has been charged in the death of another driver last year during what police say was a drag race.
Faisal Chaudhary, 28, was charged with felony vehicular manslaughter in the death of Alfred Paino, 51, police said Monday.
The incident happened Oct. 28 on Yorba Street just south of Vandenberg Lane. After reaching speeds in excess of 60 mph, the two cars turned in opposite directions and Paino’s hit a tree, said Sgt. Jeff Beeler of the Tustin Police Department.
Chaudhary is to be arraigned May 30 at the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana.
