FINALLY

All that cash: With more than $157.1 million in North American ticket sales, Oscar winner “Chicago” has become the top-grossing domestic film in the history of Miramax Films, the company said, surpassing “Scary Movie.”

Ratings: The audience for “Platinum,” UPN’s new hip-hop-flavored drama, declined 36% between its premiere Monday night and the first telecast in its regular time slot Tuesday. The latter attracted 2.3 million viewers, compared with 3.6 million Monday, and also represented a considerable fall-off from its lead-in of “Buffy The Vampire Slayer,” which was watched by 3.3 million viewers.
