* A judge had no authority to launch a review of a $625-million fee award to lawyers who helped New York win billions of dollars in a settlement with Philip Morris USA and other tobacco companies, an appeals court ruled. A four-judge panel reversed an order by state Supreme Court Justice Charles E. Ramos that froze payment of the fees, which he described as “offensive,” and halted the judge’s inquiry.
* Coca-Cola Co. said Burger King Corp. agreed to continue selling Frozen Coke slushy drinks, reversing a decision last month to pull the products after the soft drink giant admitted to rigging a marketing test.
* A Bankruptcy Court judge approved financier Wilbur Ross’s revised $614-million bid for textiles maker Burlington Industries Inc., now in Chapter 11, company officials said.
