DEL MAR — One winning ticket in the pick six for Friday’s races at Del Mar paid $1,562,818.60, a state record.
The $128 ticket was purchased at Santa Rosa Fairgrounds in Northern California.
The previous high for a pick six payoff in California was $1,132,466.60 at Bay Meadows on Dec. 13, 1985.
