From Times Staff Reports
Two shotgun attacks that left four people wounded in South Los Angeles on Sunday were possibly committed by the same man, who used birdshot instead of bullets, a police spokesman said.
The man shot three people standing outside an apartment complex in the 5100 block of South Western Avenue about 12:50 a.m., and another man sitting outside his house in the 6700 block of Sixth Avenue was shot at 1:40 a.m., said Officer Don Cox.
Birdshot pierces the skin but is usually not life-threatening.
