4 O.C. Attorneys Named to Superior Court Bench

Gov. Gray Davis made four appointments Thursday to the county Superior Court: federal prosecutor David A. Hoffer, civil litigator Linda S. Marks, family-law specialist Mark Millard and Superior Court Commissioner Salvador Sarmiento.
Hoffer, 39, of Irvine, is the deputy chief of the U.S. attorney’s office in Santa Ana. Marks, 45, is a personal-injury litigator in Irvine. Millard, 65, of Newport Beach, is a family-law specialist. Sarmiento, 52, of Santa Ana has been a Superior Court commissioner since 1997, handling traffic arraignments and felony preliminary hearings.
