* Josh Shipp, L.A. Fairfax: Scored 40 points and had six steals, five assists and eight rebounds in a 103-47 first-round victory over Canoga Park in the Redondo tournament. Jamal Boykin added 20 points for the Lions.

* EbBe Benson, L.A. Westview: Had 31 points and 14 rebounds for the Wildcats in a 66-57 nonleague victory over Glendale Adventist.

* Katie Kent, San Gabriel Mission: Scored 33 points and had 18 rebounds for the host Pioneers in a 63-56 nonleague victory against Claremont Webb.
