30-Year Mortgage Rates Rise Above 6%

For the first time in three weeks, interest rates on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages crept up above 6%, to an average of 6.02% this week from 5.89% last week, according to mortgage finance company Freddie Mac.
Fifteen-year mortgages also rose, to an average of 5.36% from 5.22% last week. One-year adjustable-rate mortgages stayed at an average of 3.77%.
