Parada’s Shot Lifts Irvine Past Princeton

Adam Parada’s four-foot hook shot with 1.8 seconds remaining lifted UC Irvine to a 57-55 victory over Princeton on Friday in the opening round of the McCaffrey Classic at Fresno.
Stanislav Zuzak and Mike Efevberha scored 12 points apiece to lead UC Irvine (3-2). Scott Greenman scored 14 points and Judson Wallace added 13 for Princeton (3-1), which made 11 three-point shots.
The Anteaters play Arkansas Monticello tonight.

No. 24 Marquette 71, Grambling 55 -- Travis Diener and Terry Sanders scored 13 points each as the Golden Eagles improved to 6-0 with a victory at Milwaukee.
Grambling (1-4) was led by Brion Rush’s 24 points. Paul Haynes added 13 and Larry Haygood had 11.
