Ysidro Meza-Alvarez, 48, of Placentia was southbound in the 930 block of South Placentia Avenue about 5:30 p.m. when he pulled out in front of a vehicle going the same direction and was knocked to the ground, Lt. Steve Toth said. Alvarez was struck again by another vehicle, Toth said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither driver has been cited, but the investigation is continuing, Toth said.
