Karl Dorrell is an absolute genius and should be commended instead of criticized for his efforts in his first year as UCLA’s coach.
He lost enough games to lower USC’s strength-of-schedule factor, thus contributing to their failure to play in the Sugar Bowl, yet he won just enough games for the Bruins to make it into the Silicon Valley Bowl.
