Fullove Spurs Gauchos

RENO, Nev. — Branduinn Fullove scored 23 points and Nick Jones added 12 off the bench to lead UC Santa Barbara to a 63-53 men’s basketball victory over Alabama State on Sunday night at the Wolf Pack Holiday Classic.

Casey Cook had eight points and six rebounds for the Gauchos (6-3), who used a 16-4 run midway through the second half to take command of the game.

Malcolm Campbell had 15 points and Jermaine Smith and Akeim Claborn each added 11 for Alabama State (2-6). Claborn had a game-high eight rebounds.

Fullove scored Santa Barbara’s first 12 points, including two three-point shots, for a 12-4 lead five minutes into the game. Fullove made eight of 12 shots and five of six free throws.
